A Note from Mary Ann

Mary Ann Liebert

Some like it hot. Very hot, which is how it is today in the California desert; so, rather than sit outside, I went into town to catch up with old friends. And yes, I've been vacationing. With 2 iPads. I do love being connected!

It has been an exceptionally busy time at Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. Our newest journals reflect the latest areas of research and therapy, and we have also welcomed some new editors-in-chief for established publications. Among our to-be-published new journals is Gender and the Genome, edited by the highly esteemed Marianne Legato, MD. The implications of gender on biology need to be better understood and advanced; this is the only peer-reviewed journal with this mandate, and its editorial board is stellar.

Coming in April is a new book, We CAN Fix Healthcare: The Future is Now. Healthcare continues to be front and center, so be sure you have a copy. Working with its author, Stephen K. Klasko, who is profoundly exciting, and his sci-fi approach to the problem is intriguing.

Recently, I called Stephen Higgs, PhD, Editor-in-Chief of Vector-Borne and Zoonotic Diseases about the sudden and alarming outbreak of Zika virus. Is this journal in your collection? It must be.

In this issue, we will introduce you to new publications and new editors. Read on, and don't forget There is a Mary Ann Liebert at Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. — so do be in touch!
