Gene and cell therapy is yielding impressive results improving clinical outcome for patients in a range of different areas. Likewise, the field is experiencing remarkable advances in vector technology, production/purification and QM, delivery technologies, cell preparation, and risk assessment to name a few examples.

Since usage of state-of-the-art methodologies as well as availability of standard operating procedures are critical parameters for moving the field of gene and cell therapy forward, Human Gene Therapy Methods aims to contribute to this task by publishing a special issue.

The special issue on “Protocols in Gene and Cell Therapy” is aimed to provide a collection of protocols in the following general categories:
