Tissue Engineering
is the official journal of TERMIS and the preeminent biomedical journal advancing the field with cutting-edge research and applications on all aspects of tissue growth and regeneration. Multidisciplinary in scope, the Journal brings together the principles of engineering and life sciences in tissue development and regenerative medicine.

Guest Editors Peter Loskill, PhD and Nathaniel Huebsch, PhD seek high-quality original research articles on the following topics related to iPSC-based engineered tissues:

  • Personalized medicine
  • Tissue regeneration
  • Disease models
  • Physiology
  • Organ-on-a-chip systems
  • Maturation of iPSC-based engineered tissues
  • Bioprinting

The importance of induced-pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) to the field of tissue engineering continues to increase as they open up the opportunity to generate human tissues with defined genetics for regenerative and research applications. iPSC-based engineered tissues also present new opportunities for studying developmental biology, modeling of disease, regenerative medicine, personalized medicine and drug development. The goal of this special issue is to highlight research contributions that accentuate the diversity of ways that iPSC-based engineered tissues are affecting the field. Contributions will receive prompt and thorough peer review and will be published online (epub) ahead of print after acceptance. Please refer to our Instructions for Authors before submitting your manuscript for consideration.

Deadline for manuscript submission: September 15, 2018
Please include the title of the special issue in the cover letter upon submission
