Medical Acupuncture is planning a Special Issue focusing on how acupuncture can be used as an effective adjunct treatment for post-COVID-19 Syndrome or patients (pediatric or adult) deemed “Long Haulers.”
The editors invite manuscripts from clinicians who have employed acupuncture and herbal preparations as well as combinations of acupuncture with dietary and/or neutraceutical approaches with patients experiencing the lingering side effects of COVID-19, such as loss of sense of smell, mental dullness, depression, anxiety, palpitations, fatigue, shortness of breath, vertigo, headaches, insomnia, musculoskeletal pain, or disorders of the nervous system, among others.
Acupuncture and herbs are known for their ability to reduce a myriad of physical and psychological conditions. In the interest of fostering an understanding of their effectiveness in treating some of the many common and/or complex conditions encountered with “Long Haulers,” we are interested in submissions of original translational research, case series, or review articles that will be of practical importance.
The deadline for manuscript submission has been extended to March 30, 2022.
Please submit your papers online to our web-based manuscript submission and peer-review system
