Special Issue on Acupuncture, Internal Medicine, and COVID-19

Medical Acupuncture is planning a Special Issue focusing on how acupuncture and auricular medicine can be used as an effective adjunct to treat a variety of internal medicine related conditions. In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we are also seeking articles highlighting the use of acupuncture and/or traditional Chinese medicine in caring for patients affected with COVID-19.

Acupuncture and auricular medicine are well known for their ability to relieve pain, stress, and anxiety, but their ability to assist with the management of many of the conditions associated with the field of internal medicine is less well known. In the interest of fostering an understanding of the effectiveness of acupuncture and auricular medicine in treating some of the many common and/or complex conditions encountered in a conventional internal medicine practice, we are particularly interested in submissions of original translational research or review articles related to the management of the diseases and conditions listed below, but all articles pertaining to the field of internal medicine will be considered.
