This special issue will highlight innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy & Water (FEW). Research submissions will explore the interconnections and interdependencies across FEW. A comprehensive approach to understanding the state of multiple resources in parallel has the potential to improve resource management and efficiency, economic outcomes, population livelihood, and public health. This issue will showcase FEWs research that has the potential to unlock discoveries that cannot emerge from research on food or energy or water systems alone.

Topics of interest of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, original research that:

• Showcases complex and adaptive systems for nexus analysis
• Presents solutions to FEWs insecurity, vulnerability, and resilience
• Addresses environmental challenges in developing regions
• Couples analysis across physical, biological, and natural processes
• Evaluates linkages to climate extremes and climate variability
• Analyzes policy implications or governance of FEWs systems.

Contributions will receive prompt and thorough peer review.
