Event
The 2019 CMHC West meeting will highlight the latest updates in hypertension, heart failure, diabetes, dyslipidemia, lifestyle management, bariatric surgery, and cardiovascular health, and translate the latest cutting-edge medical research into practical, clinical strategies for preventing, delaying, and managing cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. New this year to the 2019 CMHC West meeting will be a half-day Women's Health Summit, focusing on cardiometabolic risk assessment and management in women with conditions ranging from PCOS and pregnancy to breast cancer and type 2 diabetes. This education will be delivered through thought provoking educational sessions followed by expert faculty discussions. The goal is to provide the medical community with evidence-based interventions to improve health outcomes and quality of life for the growing numbers of patients at increased cardiometabolic risk.
Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders is the only peer-reviewed journal focusing solely on the pathophysiology, recognition, and treatment of this major health condition. The Journal meets the imperative for comprehensive research, data, and commentary on metabolic disorder as a suspected precursor to a wide range of diseases, including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, cancer, polycystic ovary syndrome, gout, and asthma.
