Informing, inspiring, and advancing global innovation to support a healthy, sustainable future

38th Annual National Neurotrauma Symposium, Neurotrauma 2020
Atlanta, GA

Since its inception, the Annual National Neurotrauma Symposium has brought together scientists, clinicians, and health-care providers who are dedicated to the study of neurotrauma and to translating knowledge generated by research into improved patient care. The theme for Neurotrauma 2020 is “Bidirectional Translation”. Translating basic science to clinical application is more successful when clinical neurotrauma is guiding basic science, and basic science and engineering is informing clinical advances. As in previous years, we are honored to announce that Neurotrauma 2020 will be cohosted by the National Neurotrauma Society and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons/CNS Joint Section on Neurotrauma and Critical Care. This combination of expertise allows for true bidirectional translation by integrating state-of-the-art clinical and basic science findings in one scientific venue.

Journal of Neurotrauma is the flagship, peer-reviewed publication for reporting on the latest advances in both the clinical and laboratory investigation of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury. The Journal focuses on the basic pathobiology of injury to the central nervous system, while considering preclinical and clinical trials targeted at improving both the early management and long-term care and recovery of traumatically injured patients. This is the essential journal publishing cutting-edge basic and translational research in traumatically injured human and animal studies, with emphasis on neurodegenerative disease research linked to CNS trauma.
