Masking and Burnout in Autistic Adults

Autism in Adulthood applauds the growing shift from calling April “Autism Awareness Month” to celebrating it as “Autism Acceptance Month.” However, the need to accept, appreciate, value, support, and listen to autistic people extends beyond the month of April. In an effort to highlight this need for acceptance, and the potential dangers associated with a lack of acceptance, we have compiled a Special Collection on Masking and Burnout in Autistic Adults. The issue includes articles previously published in Autism in Adulthood and is free access through May 31, 2022.
